Car wash — by hand
Nothing like a good hand wash on a springtime day!
You might be thinking that these guys don’t get signage at all, I mean they’re into cleanliness, right! But — the whole story is that Montreal regulations prohibit the restoration of those signs from the fifties. Another small absurdity

Nuit blanche
This is le Café Cléopâtre in Montréal, a stripper club that has refused an offer in the seven digits to move out and relocate. Thereby bringing a complete halt to all development plans for that particular block, which is situated in Montréal’s former Red Light. I’m not saying this is good or bad — I just think it’s on the hilarious side of funny.
The developers have done quite a decent job with many of the other corners around (Montréal’s Quartier des Spectacles), but now they’ve hit this unsightly, mirror g-string clad rock, and it just won’t fit into their lofty modernist plans. I think they should build around the venerable institution, integrate it. They could. Let’s see how this critical page of Montréal history plays out.

Hi dudes and dudesses. It’s -17° here in Montréal, so I thought I’d warm things up a little.

This is about a ballroom taxi-dancer. 10¢ a dance was actually very good money for the 1920s — and it is still a whole lot more than what Google pays for a click. But then again it requires quite a different skillset. Whatever — also there’s a reference to pierced eardrums, I had to have my right one pierced lately. More on this later.

Hi! This is a Johnny Cash song that I recorded for my friend Evelyne up in France (the country). We don’t get to see much of each other, so music exchange will have to do, and it does very well!

The official Elrico Show tourbus
Luke thinks any good tourbus needs room for dancing (he said something about a vertical pole). But we do have a PS3 and a brown ole Atari! Also, there’s a mean sub that can blur the rearview mirrors. Not to mention the driver’s name is Jim, and he has sideburns. Come on, I’m sure Luke’s gonna love this long black train!
